Enjoy 1oz each of the following:

Baharat (Lebanese 7-Spice): This stuff smells wonderful and it reminds me of the scents and flavors of the holidays here in the states.  It must be the nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and allspice that are in it.  Just a pinch of it adds depth and flavor to sauces, soups, grains, vegetables, stews and meat.  With the addition of fenugreek, black pepper, and rose petals... oh man... this stuff is heaven.

Za'atar: From family to family and country to country; this Arabic blend will vary on proportions of mixes, but the base ingredients included are thyme, coriander, sesame seeds and salt.  We add sumac and and a bit of aleppo chile flake to round it out.  Great on chicken, potatoes or mixed in your olive oil bread dip!

Ras el Hanout:  This mediterranean blend translates to "head of the shop" and is traditionally a mix of a spice merchants best spices.  It can work well with a chicken or cous cous, curry or lentils.  One of our more popular spice blends sold last year and it's popularity is continuing.  Ingred: coriander, turmeric, fenugreek, cumin, black pepper, ginger, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, chili pepper, cardamom, mustard, salt and star anise.

Kabsa (or Kabash):  The dish associated with this spice originates from Yemen. Traditionally, Kabsa spice is used to flavor a meat and rice dish, but there are other methods this blend works well with.  BBQ it in to some of your grill meats or add it to your madghūt in the pressure cooker.  

Urfa Biber Chile Flake: A dried Turkish Chile flake cultivated in the Urfa region of Turkey.  It has a raisin-like chocolate like scent and sneaks a good 30,000- 50,000 for heat on the SHU scale.  Good sprinkled on breakfast scramble, blend into a dressing or use it in your next batch of brownies!
